The ON THE MOVE (OTM) Political Party has issued a statement that they are taking up the matter of the security personnel who were “brutally dismissed” by their employer, four companies contracted to the Mogalakwena Local Municipality, to court to seek retribution for the affected employees.
Last week, according to the press release, OTM decided to stand with the affected workers and ensure that their concerns are heard and addressed.
“No worker deserves to be treated unfairly or dismissed without proper process and dignity”
“We are committed to supporting these security personnel and will engage the relevant stakeholders to seek justice and accountability”
“We call on the community to remain united and support the affected workers during this difficult time,” read the statement.
OTM Political Party Welcomes Bargaining Council’s Decision on Unfair Dismissal
MEANWHILE, the party says it is pleased to announce that the Bargaining Council ruled on 10 March 2026, that the dismissal of security personnel involved with companies contracted to the Mogalakwena municipality was unfair.
The ruling confirms the OTM Political Party’s concerns regarding certain private security companies operating in the area.
The OTM Political Party has taken action, including instituting legal proceedings against the companies and has reported companies, including KTS Security, Katekane Security, Nthabeleng Security and Vutha Mkhonto Security, for investigation.
