COOPERATION REQUESTED DURING METER READING PROCESS

MOKOPANE: The Mogalakwena Local Municipality is currently conducting its routine meter reading programme to ensure accurate billing and proper management of municipal services. The municipality calls on all residents with meters that were not counted during the recent visit to cooperate with municipal officials to ensure their meter readings are properly recorded.

“Residents who are not at home during the meter reading visits are kindly requested to contact the municipality to arrange a suitable date and time for officials to access their properties. This will help prevent estimated billing and ensure that accounts reflect actual consumption,” said Municipal spokesperson Malesela Selokela

“The municipality further urges residents not to deliberately deny officials access to meters. All municipal officials are duly authorised and carry identification when performing their duties. Failure to grant access for meter reading may result in necessary action being taken, including disconnection of services from the pole or main supply point in accordance with municipal regulations”

‘The municipality appeals for community cooperation to ensure a smooth, efficient meter-reading process that benefits all residents.” Said Selokela.
